Many of our Clans folk work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that our Clan traditions, loyalties and flag is carried forward into future generations. These folk are the backbone of our Clan and Societies and it is fitting that we recognise them for all their hard work and dedication to the Clan MacLeod. I would also like to challenge each and every one of you to think about how you can contribute individually, but more importantly, how you can involve and instill the Clan values into our younger generation so that they in time, will become our Clan leaders of the future.
Outstanding Clansperson Award -2012 – Ian C. MacLeod
This prestigious honour is bestowed to Ian C. MacLeod, with the gratitude and affection of the Canadian members of this Ancient Clan, in recognition of many years of dedicated and outstanding service.
Ian’s service and contributions have been both wide and deep, including:
Serving as an active member of the Vancouver Society for many years
Working on the organizing committee for the NAG in Vancouver in 1992
Serving as Chair of the Internet Society of Clan MacLeod Society Canada
Serving as National President of the CMSC from 2004 – 2008
Attending numerous Clan Parliaments and NAGs to date.
Ian continues with leadership and dedication as a true Lewis “Proud MacLeod”
